Details: The late Eddie Griffin received his fourth and final nba arrest in 2006, about a year and a half before his drunk-driving death. After crashing his SUV into a parked car he was charged only with inattentive driving. A few months later, however, a surveillance video surfaced of him professing his drunkenness following the crash. In addition, a lawsuit later was filed against Griffin alleging he was not only drunk but masturbating to a pornographic DVD while driving, causing the accident.

He was listed as a witness to a disturbance at a Houston nightclub, which is a violation of his probation because he was “consorting with disreputable people.” Griffin’s probation stemmed from a 2003 assault conviction. This was the third of an eventual four career arrests for the late troubled star.
