Details: Nailon and two other men, including NFL star LaDainian Tomlinson, were smoking marijuana in a Texas motel when officers knocked on the door after noticing the smell. The three men then jumped out of a second story window before being apprehended in Nailon’s SUV. This was the first of three career arrests for Nailon.
Webber, Chris
Charge: Marijuana possession and resisting arrest

Details: Webber was pulled over by police for speeding and did not have his license or registration, instead offering his credit card as proof of identification. He was slow to answer questions and struck an officers hand when he tried to remove him from the car. He resisted further until pepper spray was used by officers, and when they searched his vehicle they discovered marijuana.

Details: While enjoying drinks at an Orlando area bar with three women, Barkley became enraged when another patron threw a glass of ice at him. In one of the more famous NBA arrests, Barkley then chased the man to the front of the bar, lifted him up, and hurled him through a plate-glass window. As the man lay on the ground bleeding, Barkley then stood over him and told him ”you got what you deserve. You don’t respect me. I hope you’re hurt.”

Details: Despite being in the NBA, the direct from high-school star was still acting like an ordinary teenager. He was handing out pamphlets at the mall against mall policy when things escalated, and he eventually was arrested for ‘mouthing off’ to the cops. He appears to have learned his lesson (for a while) – he wasn’t arrested again for over seven years. He still holds the record for the youngest NBA player ever arrested, and with direct from high school players no longer allowed, his record may stand forever.
Hill, Tyrone

Details: Early in the morning a man was seen standing in the middle of the street and blocking traffic. When he refused to move he was placed under arrest. Hill, along with fellow pro Brian Grant, were with him at the time and interfered with the arrest. Hill was arrested after cursing at an officer and bumping him chest to chest.

Details: Tarpley, who was ultimately banned from the NBA for repeated drug and alcohol violations, received his first career arrest after getting pulled over and scuffling with officers. It ultimately took six policemen to subdue him after his violent reaction. He was later arrested for DUI again two years later.
