Details: Three months after his famous coach-choking incident, Sprewell was charged with reckless driving in California.  Police allege that he caused another motorist to crash and flip his car, injuring two people, by driving at a high rate of speed and making multiple lane changes. He eventually plead no contest and received three months of home detention.

Anderson, Greg

Charge: Possession of cocaine and intent to distribute

Arrest Date: February 25, 1998

Details: Anderson arranged to help two men sell a kilogram of cocaine.  One of the men was working with the FBI, and after an undercover sting Anderson was arrested on federal charges, including crossing state lines from Texas to Mississippi.  He later cooperated with the FBI in an operation against the third man, and was eventually sentenced to five months in prison.

Details: Mason and a friend allegedly had sex with two girls, aged 14 and 15, in a limousine in Queens following a charity basketball game.  Mason eventually agreed to a plea deal to lesser charges.  This was the second of five career arrests.

Charge: Marijuana possession and resisting arrest

Arrest Date: January 20, 1998

Details: Webber was pulled over by police for speeding and did not have his license or registration, instead offering his credit card as proof of identification.  He was slow to answer questions and struck an officers hand when he tried to remove him from the car.  He resisted further until pepper spray was used by officers, and when they searched his vehicle they discovered marijuana.
