Details: Arenas was famously arrested after it was disclosed that he brought an unloaded pistol into the Wizards locker room and brandished it during a confrontation over gambling debts with teammate Javaris Crittenton on Christmas Eve 2009. He eventually was arrested and charged with carrying an unlicensed pistol and was suspended for the remainder of the 2009-2010 NBA season. The arrest and suspension derailed his career and he was out of the league two years later. This was his third career arrest.

Details: Following a Nuggets loss, Anthony was pulled over by police after being seen weaving through traffic. He was arrested for DUI after failing a series of sobriety tests. He was later sentenced to probation and community service. This was Anthony’s second arrest and first in nearly four years.

Details: Alston was arrested for stabbing a man after a minor altercation at a Manhattan nightspot. After the two accidentally bumped each other an argument ensued, at which point Alston slashed the man in the neck, causing minor injuries. This was Alston’s second arrest in three weeks.

Details: While in Miami for Urban Beach Week, Arenas and Wizards teammate Awvee Storey attracted the attention of police after Storey was spotted walking in the middle of a busy street. When Storey refused to get out of the street, officers began to arrest him for disobeying police. At this point, Arenas showed up and tried to intervene, and was arrested for the same charge. As Arenas was arrested, according to the police report, he said: “You can’t arrest me. I’m a basketball player. I play for the Washington Wizards and I’m not going to leave my teammate.”

Details: Artest was the main participant of the infamous ‘Malice at the Palace’ brawl in Detroit. Artest was arrested for assault and battery along with four other Indiana Pacers players for attacking Pistons fans in the arena. Nine players were suspended for varying lengths, with Artest being suspended the longest, for the remainder of the season (73 regular season games and 13 playoff games).
