Details: While waiting in his car outside of a Boston-area nightclub, Battie was approached by officers who asked him to move his vehicle. Battie refused and when officers tried to arrest him he drove off, dragging an officer along with him.  Battie stopped only after the officer drew his gun.

Charge: Marijuana possession

Details: At the age of 39, veteran Robert Parish was arrested after drug-sniffing dogs detected marijuana in a FedEx package addressed to him.  Police found several ounces of marijuana in the package, along with five additional ounces after a search of his home.

Charge: Vehicular homicide and driving under the influence

Details: Celtics reserve guard Charles Smith was arrested for drunkenly mowing down two Boston University students in the middle of campus with his van, and fleeing onto the interstate.  He was convicted a year later, ending his NBA career.  He bounced around the CBA for another decade, most recently making news after being shot while in possession of cocaine in 2010.

Charge: Aggravated Battery

Details: While at a nightclub with a large entourage, Allen allegedly was involved in a disagreement with two men.  The first he punched, breaking his jaw.  He then ordered someone in his entourage to ‘fuck up’ the second man, resulting in his friend shooting and injuring him.
