Charge: Inciting a riot, assaulting and obstructing a police officer, and surety of the peace

Details: Van Lier, upset after hearing that a local police officer had accused him of selling drugs, stormed into the police station and demanded to speak to the officer. Their discussion became heated, and Van Lier punched the officer in the face and fled. He later returned to the station with ten others and a brawl broke out, resulting in his arrest.
Harding, Reggie
Charge: Assault and Battery
Arrest Date: September 6, 1965
Franchise: Detroit Pistons
Age 23
Details: After several run-ins with the law before going pro, Harding was arrested for assault and battery while playing for the Pistons after being involved in a fight. He was also arrested for loitering two days later and eventually was shot and killed in Detroit in 1972 following an argument on a street corner, at the age of 30.
Allen, Tony
Charge: Aggravated Battery

Details: While at a nightclub with a large entourage, Allen allegedly was involved in a disagreement with two men. The first he punched, breaking his jaw. He then ordered someone in his entourage to ‘fuck up’ the second man, resulting in his friend shooting and injuring him.
