Details: One evening, Pippen’s car was parked illegally and officers summoned a tow truck.  While preparing the car to be towed, officers noticed a fully-loaded, .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol near the front seat.  Pippen was registered to own the gun, but in Illinois it is a crime to carry a gun.  He was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a firearm.
